Not So Obvious Home Seller’s Tips by AnnasHouses.com
There are books and websites all over the net that give the most obvious, common sense seller’s tips – de-junk, de-clutter, get rid of dated wallpaper, put pictures on the internet, etc. Assuming that you are familiar with these, or can easily find them someplace else, here are some not so obvious tips for selling your home.
AnnasHouses.com Seller Tip #2:
Make sure your property doesn’t look like a used car lot.
It is critical that you keep the curb in front of your house clear of cars. You want to maintain curb appeal and make sure that passerby’s can see that your home is for sale. You also want them to have plenty of room to get out and grab a flyer from the box. By the way – NEVER have an empty flyer box. You don’t want any potential buyers to get away because the box was empty.
Keep your one or two best cars in the driveway. If you have more, make room in the garage. If you have more than you can fit in the driveway and garage, you are going to have to phone a friend and call in favors. After all of this work to clear it out, do not let your neighbors park in the fresh empty space in front of your house. Make sure that they know that their property values will be affected by how fast you sell and how it is in their best interest to help you out.
